The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Cloaked one, 1 arise, and warn! 2 And thy Sustainer's greatness glorify! 3 And your garments purify! 4 and flee from the statues! 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 And for the good-will of thy Lord be thou patient. 7 For when the Trump is sounded 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 For the infidels, not easy. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 and designated for him ample wealth, 12 and children as [love's] witnesses, 13 And made things easy for them. 14 Yet he desires that I should give more. 15 No! And We have not made their number except as a trial for those who disbelieve - that those who were given the Scripture will be convinced and those who have believed will increase in faith and those who were given the Scripture and the believers will not doubt and that those in whose hearts is hypocrisy and the disbelievers will say, "What does Allah intend by this as an example?" Thus does Allah leave astray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And none knows the soldiers of your Lord except Him. And mention of the Fire is not but a reminder to humanity. 31
