Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ NAY! I call to witness the Day of Resurrection! 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to persist in his evil ways. 5 He asks, "When is the Day of Resurrection?" 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is darkened, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 On that Day shall man say: whither is the fleeing. 10 By no means! No place of safety! 11 Unto your Lord (Alone) will be the place of rest that Day. 12 Man will be informed that Day of what he sent ahead and kept back. 13 nay, but man shall against himself be an eye-witness, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it. 16 Surely it is for Us to have you commit it to memory and to recite it. 17 And when We have recited it to you [O Muhammad SAW through Jibrael (Gabriel)], then follow you its (the Quran's) recital. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 [Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant, 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces on that Day will be gloomy, 24 believing that a crushing calamity is about to strike them. 25 Nay, but when the life cometh up to the throat 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 and calf is inter-twined with calf. 29 The drive will be, on that Day, to your Lord (Allah)! 30
