Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 and by the self accusing soul (that you will certainly be resurrected). 2 Does man think that We will not assemble his bones? 3 Yea indeed, We are able to make whole his very finger-tips! 4 Rather, the human desires to continue in his immorality, 5 asking [derisively,] "When is that Resurrection Day to be?" 6 So when the sight becomes dazed, 7 And the moon becomes dark, 8 And the sun and the moon shall be joined. 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 To your Lord, that Day, is the [place of] permanence. 12 On that Day, man will be told of all that he has sent before and what he has left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though they make excuses. 15 (Muhammad), do not move your tongue too quickly to recite the Quran. 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So when We have recited it [through Gabriel], then follow its recitation. 18 The exposition of its meaning surely rests on Us. 19 Truly, you love immediate gain 20 And neglect the hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 gazing towards their Lord. 23 And how many faces on that Day will be woe-begone 24 certain of facing a great calamity. 25 No! When the soul has reached the collar bones 26 And it is said: Who will be a magician? 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 when his legs are brought together [when affliction is combined with affliction]; 29 That Day the Drive will be (all) to thy Lord! 30
