Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ No! I swear by the Day of Resurrection, 1 But nay! I call to witness the accusing voice of man's own conscience! 2 Does man think that We cannot [resurrect him and] bring his bones together again? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man would fain deny what is before him. 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 So when the eyes will be blinded by light. 7 and the moon eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon are joined together,- 9 On that Day man will say: "Where (is the refuge) to flee?" 10 No, there is no refuge. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 To man will be declared on that Day that which he hath sent on and left behind. 13 In fact man is a witness against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 (O Prophet), do not stir your tongue hastily (to commit the Revelation to memory). 16 It's gathering and reciting is upon Us. 17 So when We have read it, you should thereupon follow what is read. 18 We shall be responsible for its explanation. 19 Nay; the truth is that you love ardently (the good of this world) that can be obtained hastily, 20 and give no thought to the life to come [and to Judgment Day]! 21 Some faces that Day shall be Nadirah (shining and radiant). 22 Looking toward their Lord. 23 and some faces will on that Day be overcast with despair, 24 Imagining that there will befall them a waiste-breaking calomity. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and people ask, "Is there any wizard [that could save him]?" 27 and he realises that the hour of parting is come, 28 And leg will be joined with another leg (shrouded) 29 Unto thy Lord that day will be the driving. 30
