Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
