Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
