The News (Al-Naba')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ ABOUT WHAT do they [most often] ask one another? 1 About the awesome tiding [of resurrection,] 2 Concerning which they differ. 3 Verily, they shall soon (come to) know! 4 Again, indeed, they shall know! 5 Have We not made the earth an expanse, 6 The mountains tent-pins? 7 And We created you in pairs 8 made sleep for you to rest, 9 made the night as a covering, 10 And made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 and built above you seven strong firmaments, 12 and We have set therein a glowing lamp. 13 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water. 14 so that We might bring forth thereby grain, and herbs, 15 and gardens dense with foliage? 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the Day when the Trumpet shall be blown, and you will come forth in multitudes; 18 And the heaven is opened and becometh as gates, 19 And the hills are set in motion and become as a mirage. 20 Hell will lie in wait (for its prey). 21 The rebels' abode, 22 therein they shall abide for ages, 23 They will not taste therein cool or any drink. 24 Save a boiling fluid and a fluid, dark, murky, intensely cold, 25 Requital corresponding. 26 Indeed, they were not expecting an account 27 And they belied Our revelations with strong belying. 28 And everything have We recorded in a Book. 29 Therefore taste it now – We shall not increase anything for you except the punishment. 30
