The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
When the sun is folded up, 1 when the stars shall scatter away, 2 And when the mountains shall be made to pass away, 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls are paired. 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the Records of Account are laid bare. 10 the heavens are unveiled, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near, 13 (Then) every soul will know what it had prepared (for itself). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And the breath of morning 18 Verily, this is the Word (this Quran brought by) a most honourable messenger [Jibrael (Gabriel), from Allah to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him)]. 19 Endued with Power, with rank before the Lord of the Throne, 20 who is obeyed there and is worthy of trust. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 It is nothing but Good Counsel for everyone in the world, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
