The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is folded up, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and the mountains have been taken, 3 And when the she-camels big with young shall be abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When souls are reunited (with the bodies) 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 Upon what sin was she killed for. 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then every soul will discover the consequence of its deeds. 14 But nay! I swear by the stars, 15 the planets that run their course and set, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the morning when it shineth forth, 18 That this is in truth the word of an honoured messenger, 19 [Who is] possessed of power and with the Owner of the Throne, secure [in position], 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Your companion is not possessed; 22 And indeed he saw him on the clear horizon. (Prophet Mohammed saw Angel Jibreel in his true shape – peace and blessings be upon them). 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
