The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
(On the day) when the sun is made to cease shining, 1 And when the stars fall, dispersing, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 when the pregnant camels are neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven shall be stripped, 11 And when the hell is kindled up, 12 when Paradise is brought near, 13 Every soul shall (then) know what it has prepared. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Who move straight and stop. 16 by the night swarming, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 nor does he grudge (conveying this knowledge about) the Unseen; 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Whither, then, will you go? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 but you shall not, unless Allah wills, the Lord of all the Worlds. 29
