Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 when ten-month pregnant camels are left untended, 4 And when wild animals are herded together. 5 And when the seas are set afire. 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 For what sin she was killed 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 and when heaven is laid bare, 11 when Hell shall be set blazing, 12 and when paradise is brought into view: 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 orbiting, disappearing; 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 behold, this [divine writ] is indeed the [inspired] word of a noble apostle, 19 endowed with power and held in honour by the Lord of the Throne -- 20 obeyed, moreover trusty. 21 And your companion is not gone mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you would go straight, 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
True are the words of God the Almighty.
