Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the graves are overturned, 4 Every soul will come to know what it has sent ahead and what it left behind. 5 O Man! What deceived thee as to thy generous Lord 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 and set you in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Noble and recording; 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 The wicked certainly in Hell: 14 They will burn therein on the Day of Judgment, 15 and then shall never come out of it. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the day when no soul will have power to do the least for a soul, and God's alone will be done. 19
