The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Day promised, 2 By the witness and the witnessed! 3 may the people be condemned those who tortured (the believers) in ditches 4 Of fire fuel-fed, 5 When they sat by it, 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 whom they hated for no other reason than that they believed in God, the Almighty, the Praiseworthy, 8 Him to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness to all things. 9 Indeed, those who have tortured the believing men and believing women and then have not repented will have the punishment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the Burning Fire. 10 But those who believe and do good deeds shall be rewarded with gardens watered by flowing rivers. That is the supreme triumph. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism), 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 of Pharaoh, and of [the tribe of] Thamud? 18 And yet the Unbelievers (persist) in rejecting (the Truth)! 19 But Allah doth encompass them from behind! 20 Indeed, this is a Glorious Koran, 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
