Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Proclaim the Purity of your Lord, the Supreme. 1 Who created and proportioned 2 decreed their destinies, and provided them with guidance. 3 The One Who produced pasture. 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 [O Prophet!] We shall make you recite the Quran so that you will not forget any of it -- 6 except what Allah wills, surely, He knows all that is (spoken) aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore, keep on preaching as long as it is of benefit. 9 and he who fears shall remember, 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 and suffer the heat of the great fire 12 Then he neither dies in it, nor lives. 13 He indeed shall be successful who purifies himself, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But nay, [O men,] you prefer the life of this world, 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 This is what is written in the ancient heavenly Books, 18 The Books of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
