Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 and the brooding night! 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 What is to come is better for you than what has gone before; 4 Your Lord will soon grant you sufficient favors to please you. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 Did He not find you a wanderer so He guided you? 7 And He found you poor, and made you rich (selfsufficient with selfcontentment, etc.)? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 nor drive away the one who asks. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
