The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca. First revelation of the Quran before The Pen (Al-Qalam)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created- 1 created man from a clot [of blood]. 2 Read: And thy Lord is the Most Bounteous, 3 Who taught by the pen, 4 taught man what he did not know! 5 Nay, but man doth transgress all bounds, 6 Because he sees himself free from want. 7 Indeed towards your Lord only is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 a worshipper from praying? 10 Bethinkest thou, if he is himself guided, 11 He would enjoin piety, so how good it would be! 12 Have you thought that if he denies and turns away, 13 Knoweth he not that Allah beholdeth? 14 Let him know that if he does not desist, We shall certainly drag him by his forelocks, 15 his lying, sinful forelock. 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 and We too will call the stern and angry keepers of hell. 18 Nay! obey him not, and make obeisance and draw nigh (to Allah). ۩ 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
