Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 And the producers of sparks [when] striking 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Raising clouds of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And most surely he is tenacious in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
