Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you come to the graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 that you shall surely see Hell? 6 In the end you will indeed, most surely, behold it with the eye of certainty: 7 Then, on that Day, ye shall surely be asked of the delights. 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
