Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Nay, but ye will come to know! 3 Nay, but ye will come to know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 you shall surely see Hell; 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
