Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
