AND AS SOON as the caravan [with which Jacob's sons were travelling] was on its way, their father said [to the people around him]: "Behold, were it not that you might consider me a dotard, [I would say that] I truly feel the breath of Joseph [in the air]!" 94 'By Allah' they said, 'this is but your old illusion' 95 Then, when the bearer of the glad tidings arrived, he cast it (the shirt) over his face, and he became clear-sighted. He said: "Did I not say to you, 'I know from Allah that which you know not. 96 They said, "O our father! Ask forgiveness for our sins -- we were truly in the wrong." 97 He said: I will ask for you forgiveness from my Lord; surely He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. 98 When they went back to Joseph he gave his father and mother a place of honour, and said: "Enter Egypt in peace by the will of God." 99 And he raised his parents to the throne, and they fell down before him prostrate, And he said: O my father! This is the interpretation of my vision aforetime; My Lord hath now made it come true; and surely He did well by me when he took me forth from the prison, and hath brought you from the desert after the Satan had stirred strife between me and my brethren; verily my Lord is subtile unto whomsoever He will. Verily He! Only He, is the Knowing, the Wise. 100 ۞ "My Lord! You have indeed bestowed on me of the sovereignty, and taught me the interpretation of dreams; The (only) Creator of the heavens and the earth! You are my Wali (Protector, Helper, Supporter, Guardian, etc.) in this world and in the Hereafter, cause me to die as a Muslim (the one submitting to Your Will), and join me with the righteous." 101 These are tidings of the unseen that We reveal to you, [O Prophet], though you were not present with them when they plotted and agreed upon a plan. 102 Many men will not believe howsoever you wish, 103 And thou askest them not any hire therefor; it is but an admonition unto the worlds. 104
