The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ THE TRUE BELIEVERS will be successful, 1 Those who offer their Salat (prayers) with all solemnity and full submissiveness. 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who strive for betterment; 4 and who are mindful of their chastity, 5 except with their wives and what their right hand possess, and then they are not blamed. 6 But those whose desires exceed those limits are transgressors;- 7 who are true to their trusts and their covenants, 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 It is they, they who shall be the inheritors 10 Who will inherit Paradise: they will dwell therein (for ever). 11 We created the human from an essence of clay: 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Thereafter you are destined to die, 15 Again, on the Day of Judgment, will ye be raised up. 16 And indeed We have created seven paths above you; and We are not unmindful of the creation. 17 We send down water from the sky in determined measure, and store it up in the earth; and We have power to drain it away. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 We have also created for you the tree that grows on Mount Sinai which produces oil and relish for those who use it. 20 And in cattle (too) ye have an instructive example: from within their bodies We produce (milk) for you to drink; there are, in them, (besides), numerous (other) benefits for you; and of their (meat) ye eat; 21 And on them and on the ship ye are borne. 22
