Say: "I am only a warner, and there is no other god but God, the one, the omnipotent, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: It is a message of importance, 67 To which you pay no heed. 68 I had no knowledge of the higher Assembly when they discussed it among themselves. 69 Naught is revealed to me save that I am a plain warner. 70 Recall what time thy Lord said unto the angels: verily I am about to create a human being from clay; 71 Then when I have formed him and breathed into him of My spirit, fall down before him prostrate. 72 Thereupon the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together, 73 except iblis (satan, the father of the jinn), he became too proud, for he was one of the unbelievers. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 And surely My curse is on you to the day of judgment. 78 He said: "O Lord, give me respite till the day the dead rise from their graves." 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 Till the appointed day." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 He (i.e. Allah) said: “This is the Truth -- and I only speak the Truth -- 84 “That I will fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all together.” 85 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "No wage do I ask of you for this (the Quran), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist). 86 "It (this Quran) is only a Reminder for all the 'Alamin (mankind and jinns). 87 and you will most certainly grasp its purport after a lapse of time!" 88
