Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
