Have you seen the one who turned away 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From seed when it is emitted. 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 while you make merry? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
