Nay! By the moon 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 surely (Hell) is one of the greatest Signs, 35 Warn the men. 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every soul is mortgaged for its own deeds. 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 concerning the sinners, 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 And rejected the Day of Judgement as a lie 46 until there came to us the certainty. 47 The intercession of their intercessors shall not benefit them. 48 What is the matter with them that they turn away from this Reminder, 49 As if they were affrighted asses, 50 fleeing before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
