The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 by the angels who gently release the souls of the believers, 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 And those who govern the event, 5 On the Day, the shiverer shivers 6 and will be followed by another quaking. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 They say: Shall we indeed be restored to (our) first state? 10 “When we have become decayed bones?” 11 They shall say, 'That then were a losing return!' 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa! 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 He showed him the mighty sign, 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 then he mustered 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
