The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 When the mountains vanish (like a mirage); 3 And when milch camels roam abandoned. 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas are set on fire, 6 And when the souls shall be joined with their bodies; 7 And when the female infant buried alive is asked 8 for what sin she was killed, 9 And when the Writs shall be lain open, 10 And when the heaven has its covering removed, 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 Every soul will then come know what it has brought. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Moving swiftly and hiding themselves, 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 truly this is the word of a noble Messenger 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 And he is of the unseen not a tenacious concealer. 24 Nor is this the word of a stoned satan. 25 Where then will you go? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
