The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is split asunder, 1 obeying its Sustainer, as in truth it must; 2 and when the earth is stretched out 3 and casts out all that is within it and becomes empty; 4 and gives ear to its Lord, and is fitly disposed! 5 O man, you are striving unto your Lord and you will meet Him. 6 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, 7 shall have an easy reckoning 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 But as for him who is given his book behind his back, 10 He will invoke (his) destruction, 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 He verily deemed that he would never return (unto Allah). 14 Yes indeed; his Lord had sight of him. 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 And by the night and that which it driveth together, 17 And by the moon when she becometh full. 18 that you will certainly pass through one stage after another. 19 What is the matter with them, that they believe not? 20 And, when the Qur'an is recited unto them, worship not (Allah)? ۩ 21 Nay, but the unbelievers are crying lies, 22 and God knows very well what they are secreting. 23 (Muhammad), tell them that they will all suffer a painful torment 24 But for those who believe and do good works; for them there shall be a never-ending reward. 25
