The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky with its constellations, 1 And by the Promised Day. 2 by the witness and the witnessed, 3 That accursed are the men of the trench 4 Of the fire (kept burning) with fuel, 5 while they sat around it, 6 And were themselves the witnesses of what they did to the believers. 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 Him, Whose is the dominion of heavens and the earth. And Allah is over everything a Witness. 9 Those who persecute (or draw into temptation) the Believers, men and women, and do not turn in repentance, will have the Penalty of Hell: They will have the Penalty of the Burning Fire. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 The Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Always doing whatever He wills. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 Of Pharaoh and Thamud come to you? 18 In fact the disbelievers are in denial. 19 And Allah is after them, has them surrounded. 20 It is indeed a glorious Quran, 21 On a guarded tablet. 22
