Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Did We not expand for you, [O Muhammad], your breast? 1 And removed from you your burden, 2 that weighed so heavily on your back, and 3 And We have upraised for thee thy renown. 4 So, surely with every hardship there is ease; 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when thou art relieved, still toil 7 and let thy Lord be thy Quest. 8
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
