We created mankind from clay, molded from mud, 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 And when your Lord said to the angels: Surely I am going to create a mortal of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 28 "So, when I have fashioned him completely and breathed into him (Adam) the soul which I created for him, then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him." 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Not so Iblis: he refused to be among those who prostrated themselves. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said: I am not such that I should make obeisance to a mortal whom Thou hast created of the essence of black mud fashioned in shape. 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 and will be subjected to condemnation until the Day of Judgment." 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 [Allah] said, "So indeed, you are of those reprieved 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 Iblis said, "Lord, because you have caused me to go astray, I shall make earthly things attractive to (people) and mislead all of them 39 except Your sincere servants". 40 Allah said: "Here is the path that leads straight to Me. 41 over My worshipers you have no authority, except the perverse that follow you. 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
