۞ Say: O my servants! who have acted extravagantly against their own souls, do not despair of the mercy of Allah; surely Allah forgives the faults altogether; surely He is the Forgiving the Merciful. 53 And return to your Lord time after time and submit to Him before there comes to you the punishment, then you shall not be helped. 54 “And follow this, the best among all, which has been sent down towards you from your Lord, before the punishment comes suddenly upon you whilst you are unaware.” 55 So that no soul may say, “Alas! The failures that I committed regarding Allah – and indeed I used to mock!” 56 Or, "If only God had guided me, I would surely have joined the God-fearing." 57 Or (lest) he should say when he sees the torment: "If only I had another chance (to return to the world) then I should indeed be among the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112)." 58 Why, My revelations had come to you, but you denied them and were filled with pride, and were among the disbelievers. 59 On the Day of Judgment you will see the faces of those who had invented falsehood against God blackened. Is not hell the dwelling of the arrogant ones? 60 And Allah will deliver those who are the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2) to their places of success (Paradise). Evil shall touch them not, nor shall they grieve. 61 God is the creator of all things, and He is the guarantor of all things. 62 To Him belong the keys of the heavens and the earth. Those who disbelieve in the verses of Allah they are the losers. 63
