Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who has ordained and guided, 3 And Who bringeth forth the pasturage, 4 and thereupon causes it to decay into rust-brown stubble! 5 We shall make you recite and then you will not forget, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). 9 He who fears will mind, 10 but the most wretched shall flout it, 11 He who will be flung to the great Fire 12 Wherein he shall neither die nor live, 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And magnifies the name of his Lord and prays. 15 But no, you prefer the life of the world, 16 although the life to come is better and more enduring. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 The scriptures of Abraham and Moses. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
