The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By heaven of the constellations, 1 by the promised day, 2 And the bearer of witness and those against whom the witness is borne. 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 when they were seated over it 6 and were themselves witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 and their revenge on them was only because they believed in Allah, the Almighty, the Praised, 8 to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. Allah witnesses everything. 9 Verily those who affected the believing men and the believing women, and then repented not, theirs shall be the torment of Hell, and theirs shall be the torment of burning. 10 Indeed those who believed and did good deeds – for them are Gardens beneath which rivers flow; this is the great success. 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Indeed, it is He who originates [creation] and repeats. 13 And He is the Forgiving, the Affectionate, 14 Owner of the throne, the Glorious 15 a sovereign doer of whatever He wills. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 in a guarded tablet. 22
