So We saved the children of Israel from degrading suffering 30 From Fir'aun (Pharaoh); Verily! He was arrogant and was of the Musrifun (those who transgress beyond bound in spending and other things and commit great sins). 31 and We chose them, out of a knowledge, above all beings, 32 and showed them signs in which there was a clear test. 33 Most surely these do say: 34 “This is our first and only death, and we shall never be raised again. 35 Then bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful." 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 And We created not the heavens and the earth and all that is in-between the twain sporting. 38 We created them not save with a purpose but most of them know not. 39 The appointed time for all of them will be the Day of Judgment 40 The Day when no protector can avail his client in aught, and no help can they receive, 41 Save him on whom Allah hath mercy. Lo! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
