3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nuh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request). 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny survive, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Nooh, among the entire people. 79 Thus do We surely reward the doers of good. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Then afterwards We drowned the rest. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it a falsehood - gods beside Allah - that ye desire? 86 What think you then of the Lord of all Being?' 87 He then shot a glance at the stars. 88 And he said: verily I am about to be sick. 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 And (his people) came toward him, hastening. 94 He said: "Worship ye that which ye have (yourselves) carved? 95 "While Allah has created you and what you make!" 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 But whereas they sought to do evil unto him, We [frustrated their designs, and thus] brought them low? 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 thou hast already fulfilled [the purpose of] that dream-vision!" Thus, verily, do We reward the doers of good: 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 So We ransomed him for a great sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace upon Abraham." 109 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and We blessed him and Isaac: but among the offspring of these two there were [destined] to be both doers of good and such as would glaringly sin against themselves. 113

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
