Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 What! When we are dead and reduced to mere dust, (shall we be raised to life)? Such a return is far-fetched.” 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Do they not then look up to heaven above them how We have made it and adorned it and it has no gaps? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 A perception and an understanding, for every bondman who inclines. 8 And We sent down the auspicious water from the sky, therefore producing gardens with it, and the grain that is harvested. 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 and Ad and Pharaoh, the brothers of Lot, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Did We, then, become worn out by the first creation? Not at all; but they are in doubt about a fresh creation. 15
