Al-Waaqe'ah 2 of 3
A multitude from the ancients. 39 And a crowd of the later. 40 As for the Companions of the Left 41 (They will be) in the midst of a Fierce Blast of Fire and in Boiling Water, 42 and a shade of thick, pitch-black smoke, 43 (That shadow) neither cool, nor (even) good, 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 and persisted in the Great Sin, 46 and they used to say, "What! After we have died and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up again? 47 "(We) and our fathers of old?" 48 (Muhammad), say, "All the ancient and later generations 49 "All will surely be gathered together for appointed Meeting of a known Day. 50 Then you, the erring and the deniers, 51 Will be eating from trees of zaqqum 52 and will have to fill your bellies therewith, 53 And thereon ye will drink of boiling water, 54 and you will drink as the lapping of thirsty camels. 55 Such will be their entertainment on the Day of Requital! 56 WE who have created you, [O men:] why, then, do you not accept the truth? 57 Have ye seen that which ye emit? 58 Is it you who create it (i.e. make this semen into a perfect human being), or are We the Creator? 59 We! it is We Who have decreed death unto you all. And We are not to be outrun. 60 From replacing you with others or raising you in a way you do not know. 61 And ye certainly know already the first form of creation: why then do ye not celebrate His praises? 62 So what is your opinion regarding what you sow? 63 Do you make it grow or is it We who make it grow? 64 If We so pleased, We could turn your harvest into chaff. Then you would start lamenting, 65 'We are debt-loaded; 66 Surely, we have been deprived (of the benefits)". 67 So what is your opinion regarding the water that you drink? 68 Do you send it down from the clouds, or We send it down? 69 Did We will, We would make it bitter; so why are you not thankful? 70 Tell Me! The fire which you kindle, 71 Is it you who have brought into being the tree that serves as its fuel - or are We the cause of its coming into being? 72 We have made it a reminder, and a blessing to the traveler. 73 Then celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme! 74

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
