Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

The emulous desire of abundance engrosseth you, 1 until you reach your graves. 2 Yes certainly, you will soon realise! 3 Nay! Nay! you shall soon know. 4 And yet if you knew with positive knowledge 5 Verily, You shall see the blazing Fire (Hell)! 6 Then you will surely see it with the eye of certainty. 7 On that Day, you shall be questioned about the pleasures. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
