The people of Noah rejected the messengers. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 "And no reward whatever do I ask of you for it: my reward rests with none but the Sustainer of all the worlds. 109 Have fear of God and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in thee when it is the meanest that follow thee?" 111 He said: And what knowledge have I of what they do? 112 My Lord alone can bring them to account, if only you could understand, 113 And I am not going to drive away the believers; 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 'Noah' they replied, 'if you do not desist you shall be of those stoned' 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter. 120 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 121 And indeed your Lord, only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 122
