And remember when Ibrahim prayed, “O my Lord! Make this town (Mecca) a safe one, and safeguard me and my sons from worshipping idols.” 35 for, verily, O my Sustainer, these [false objects of worship] have led many people astray! "Hence, [only] he who follows me [in this my faith] is truly of me; and as for him who disobeys me - Thou art, verily, much-forgiving, a dispenser of grace! 36 “O our Lord! I have settled some of my descendants in a valley having no cultivation, near Your Sacred House – O our Lord! So that they may keep the prayer established, therefore incline some hearts of men towards them, and provide them fruits to eat – perhaps they may be thankful.” 37 Lord, You know all that we conceal or reveal. Nothing in the heavens or the earth is hidden from God. 38 All praise be to God who bestowed on me Ishmael and Isaac in old age. Verily my Lord listens to prayer. 39 Grant, O Lord, that I and my offspring may remain constant in devotion. Grant, O Lord, my supplication. 40 Our Lord, forgive Thou me and my parents, and the believers, upon the day when the reckoning shall come to pass. 41
