Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 Then, therewith, with their trail of dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 Surely he is passionate in his love for good things. 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 and that which is in the breasts is brought out -- 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
