Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Perdition overtake both hands of Abu Lahab, and he will perish. 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 Burnt soon will he be in a Fire of Blazing Flame! 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 with a rope of twisted fibre round her neck. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
