Has the story reached thee, of the honoured guests of Abraham? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned aside to his family secretly and brought a fat (roasted) calf, 26 and placed it before them. "Will you not eat?" he said, 27 Then he conceived a fear about them, and they said: 'Have no fear', and gave him the glad tidings that he was to have a knowledgeable son. 28 His wife came forward, crying and beating her face, saying, "I am an old barren woman!" 29 They answered: "Thus has thy Sustainer decreed; and verily, He alone is truly wise, all-knowing!" 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals 32 “To throw upon them stones of baked clay.” 33 "Marked as from thy Lord for those who trespass beyond bounds." 34 So We removed the people who had faith, from that town. 35 but We found not therein except one house of those that have surrendered themselves. 36 And so We left therein a message for those who fear the grievous suffering [which awaits all evildoers]. 37 And in Musa: When We sent him to Firon with clear authority. 38 But he withdrew (confiding) in his might, and said: A wizard or a madman. 39 So We seized him and his hosts and hurled them into the sea and he was blamable. 40 In 'Ad (also is a sign), when We sent a blasting wind against them, 41 that left nothing it came upon, except that it was ashes. 42 And in (the tribe of) Thamud (there is a portent) when it was told them: Take your ease awhile. 43 after they had turned with disdain from their Sustainer's commandment - whereupon the thunderbolt of punishment overtook them while they were [helplessly] looking on: 44 And they were unable to arise, nor could they defend themselves. 45 (So were) the people of Nuh (Noah) before them. Verily, they were a people who were Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). 46
