The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the rangers ranging 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 By those (angels) who bring the Book and the Quran from Allah to mankind [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]. 3 surely your God is One, 4 He is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, the Lord of the Eastern regions. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the planets, 6 Protecting them against every wayward devil, 7 The devils cannot hear those high above. They would be struck from all sides 8 Repulsed, for they are under a perpetual penalty, 9 Except him who snatcheth away a word by stealth, and him then pursueth a glowing flame. 10 Just ask their opinion: are they the more difficult to create, or the (other) beings We have created? Them have We created out of a sticky clay! 11 Nay, but whereas thou dost marvel, they [only] scoff; 12 They pay no attention when they are reminded 13 And when they behold a sign, they turn to scoffing. 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 Or our fathers of yore? 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 It will be but one Shout, then see, they are watching 19 and they will say: 'Woe for us. This is the Day of Recompense' 20 "(Yes,) this is the Day of Judgement you had called a lie." 21
