Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 and the jinn created We before of fire flaming. 27 And [mention, O Muhammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "I will create a human being out of clay from an altered black mud. 28 So, when I have made him and have breathed into him of My Spirit, do ye fall down, prostrating yourselves unto him. 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 God asked him, "What is the matter with you, that you are not among those who have prostrated themselves?" 32 He said, "Never would I prostrate to a human whom You created out of clay from an altered black mud." 33 Allah said: then get thee forth therefrom; verily thou art one damned. 34 And verily on thee shall be the curse till the Day of Requital. 35 Iblis said: "My Lord! Grant me respite till the Day when they will be resurrected." 36 He answered: 'You are among those reprieved 37 Until the Day of the time well-known." 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 “Except those among them who are Your chosen bondmen.” 40 (To which God) said: "This way is right by Me. 41 "For over My servants no authority shalt thou have, except such as put themselves in the wrong and follow thee." 42 being perverse; Gehenna shall be their promised land all together. 43 Unto it are seven portals; unto each portal is a portion of them assigned. 44
