Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, and by the moon, 32 By the receding night 33 By the morning when it brighteneth. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 except those of the right hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we used to feed the poor. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we denied the Day of Judgement 46 till the Certain came to us.' -- 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 This will certainly never be the case! In fact, they are not afraid of the Day of Judgment. 53 No! Indeed, the Qur'an is a reminder 54 So, whoever wills, will remember it. 55 And they shall not heed unless Allah willeth. He is the Lord of piety, and the Lord of forgiveness. 56
