Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
