Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 No, but they marvel that from among themselves a warner has come to them. The unbelievers say (in mockery): 'This is a marvelous thing! 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 Surely We know that which the earth consumeth of them, and with Us is a Book preserved. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a confused condition. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 And the earth - We spread it out and cast therein firmly set mountains and made grow therein [something] of every beautiful kind, 7 To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). 8 We have sent blessed water down from the sky to grow gardens, harvestable crops 9 And tall date-palms laden with clusters ranged. 10 A provision for (Allah's) slaves. And We give life therewith to a dead land. Thus will be the resurrection (of the dead). 11 Before these, the people of Nooh had denied, and so did the dwellers of Rass and the Thamud. 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers of the Wood, and the people of Tubba'; everyone of them denied (their) Messengers, so My Threat took effect. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
